Position Highlights:
  • Shift: Monday - Friday (7AM - 3:30PM)

Position Description: Under general direction coordinates specialty operations of Radiology Services using clinical expertise. Performs technical procedures that require application of computed tomography to patients in the diagnosis of diseases.


  • Oversee the daily operations of the computer tomography specialty in the Radiology Department, providing high quality patient service through coordination of work, staff resources and patient flow
  • Responsible for workflow improvement through coordination with other modalities and areas and improvement of work processes
  • Responsible for staffing including daily staffing, call schedules, cross training, recruitment, and retention and employee satisfaction improvement
  • Responsible for increasing volumes through patient and work flow improvements
  • Responsible for active participation in departmental PI projects and activities that improve patient, employee and physician satisfaction
  • The coordinator is expected to take a hands-on approach to managing their area and will regularly participate in patient care
  • In addition, this is a leadership role that requires strict adherence to HCA’s Code of Conduct to serve as a role model and advocate for employees
  • Employee communication must continually be improved and employees kept informed about departmental and campus activities


  • Graduate of an AMA approved Radiology Program.
  • Three (3) years professional level in computed tomography
Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required:
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with advanced registry in CT.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
  • Knowledge of Computer Aided Tomography or other specialized procedures.
  • Good communication skills, able to communicate in a positive clear manner with staff, patients, physicians and other hospital employees.
  • Ability to work with others as a team to ensure quality patient care.
  • Ability to organize and analyze statistical data.
