Project Manager - Mechanical Engineer

DRG Professional Services has partnered with one of the world’s leading producers of titanium dioxide pigment, zircon, high-grade titanium feedstock materials, pig iron and other minerals and are seeking a Project Manager - Mechanical Engineer.

Primary Location: Hamilton, MS - Pigment Plant

Qualification Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline and a minimum of five (5) years of engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Located in Northeast Mississippi the Hamilton facility is a short distance to the cities of Columbus, Amory, Aberdeen and West Point. Within an easy commute, you will find several world class attractions.
For music lovers, there is the Beale Street historic district, Graceland and Nashville.
Fantastic creole cuisine and music of New Orleans and the sparkling white beaches of the Gulf of Mexico are also just a short drive away.
Hamilton is in the heart of Southeastern Conference Sports, a premier location for college sporting events.

About the Role
This role is located at the company's Hamilton pigment plant, the company’s flagship operation and focus of a multi-million-dollar technical transformation project that will serve as the basis for updating all of the company's pigment operations. The ideal candidate will apply their talents, enthusiasm and expertise in developing strategic asset and reliability programs for the site including engineering policy, strategy, standards.

Job Responsibilities (Outputs)

Accountable for: Project execution to achieve projected results

* Performs conventional, less complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process studies or research investigations.
* Instructions are provided on task specifications and design constraints, and new designs or applications are closely reviewed by supervision.
* Applies standard techniques involving only minor innovations of methodology to provide solutions to problems with a limited number of variables.
* With assistance submits the project for gate approval with all required information in accordance with the Investment and Innovation Process (IIP) and Management of Change processes
* Seeks assistance to ensure relevant engineering/regulatory standards and are adhered to and changes with sign off by the Asset Leader
* Manage and participate in the design, planning, construction, supervision and commissioning of simple approved plant upgrades and modifications
* Develop and/or provide resources to assist and/or develop suitable scopes of works to enable effective contractor management
* Coordinate and manage internal/contract labour undertaking project activities
* Ensure that project data including drawings, relevant procedures and specifications are enforced and updated as required
