Structural Stress Engineer - Contract
DRG Professional Services is a division of the Delaware Resource Group a leading Native American owned defense contractor based in Oklahoma City.
We are seeking an experienced Structural Stress Engineer to support a developing aircraft integration and modification program. The structural stress engineer responsible for performing analysis of composite and sheet metal structures using finite element modeling & classical hand calculations. This is a 4 - 6 month contract position located in Oklahoma City.
The position will be responsible for creating structural substantiation reports & other reports as necessary. The applicable will work closely with assigned systems engineer, design engineers, and shop floor mechanics.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering required.
5-8 years classical aircraft hand stress analysis.
Familiarity with resources such as MMPDS, Bruhn, Roark, aircraft fasteners, materials, sheet metal assemblies, machined fittings, composites, honeycomb and solid laminate construction.
Applicant should have good communication skills, and be fluent in English (spoken and written) and proficient in MS Word, and Excel for report writing and analysis preparations.
